Romans 1:20

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

Our Two Month Anniversary

Our day didn't begin like you would imagine an anniversary would begin... "getting up early to spend the morning with your husband at work" is not one of those things you would choose over sleeping in late or anything, but it was the easy choice because I had a great afternoon to look forward to! A good few hours of driving around the hills of Hollywood before hitting the beach to watch the sun set over Santa Monica! I couldn't wait! We hit the road just after lunch and set off on another adventure! First we drove through Hollywood, caught a glimpse of the sign between the buildings, and then took the closest road that goes upwards! The higher you go, we have found the view improving, obviously, but the better the houses, and the more modern architecture there is! Which is where I want to be... With Andrew's love of driving and my love for the modern aesthetic, we make a great travel pair!

After the architecture tour we made our way through Bel Air to Santa Monica beach to catch some sun, or rather to just sit together in the sand and watch the sunset...

However as most people know, the sun only sets very late here in the Summer and we still had 4 hours to go before the sun would hit the horizon! So we drove around a while longer, and then decided we'd head on home and be back at a reasonable hour instead of sticking around in the cold wind, so after admiring the beauty of the coast line we headed along to the freeway, taking pictures all the way home.

Trips spent in the car for us contain the most special memories for us - our engagement drive in the mustang, our drive to our honeymoon after our wedding, and drives we take just remembering that special day. are all so dear to us and give us the ideal opportunity to catch up and just talk together about everything and anything. We rejoice in having such a beautiful world that the Lord has given us to explore to deepen our awe of His power and might in creating it. Even the achievements of men reflect the incredible ability and design of the creatures he made in His image.

"When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe man's labor on earth—his eyes not seeing sleep day or night- then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all his efforts to search it out, man cannot discover its meaning. Even if a wise man claims he knows, he cannot really comprehend it."

Ecclesiastes 8:16-17
